Lawyer: Kivuitu must be held accountable

I think we all agree, ECK Chairman Samuel Kivuitu is a disgrace to Kenya. Let me know if you disagree. The guy is just full of shit. But I digress.

Here’s an advocate of the high court perspective that appeared on the Saturday Nation discussing the options Kivuitu ignored in his rush to appease Kibaki and his crew and effectively plunging our nation into the worst crisis in our history.

Kibaki should step down

There is overwhelming evidence that the just concluded Kenyan election was rigged in favor of President Mwai Kibaki. Election observers from all over the world have decried the flaws in the election that was obviously stolen from ODM candidate Raila Odinga. In reaction to the rigging and subversion on the democratic process Kenyans have taken to the streets leading to the deaths of more than 250 people.

The violence and the glaring flaws during the election have lead the U.S. and the E.U. to decline sending congratulatory messages to Kibaki. Kenyans want the U.S. and E.U. to pressure Kibaki to respect the people’s verdict and step down. Read the rest of this entry »

Did Kalonzo betray the opposition

ECK Chairman shocking revelation that he declared Kibaki president after pressure from PNU and ODM-K raises a lot of questions, one fundamental question, however, is who in ODM-K pressured Kivuitu into plunging Kenya into such a turmoil? Did Kalonzo Musyoka betray the opposition with an aim of gaining favors from Kibaki’s hapless PNU?
